Christmas Workshop December 27-31

A huge thank you to Marie Cragg for the use of the lovely studio space at The School of Dance,163 Water Street. As you know my partner Chris, our new boat Beyond (Classe Mini 6.50 proto-USA 565) and I are sadly all apart this festive season. (Last year this time we were building the mast for our sailing race boat in the old studio !! ), It is wonderful for my classes to have a Home for the Holidays!

I have enjoyed teaching everyone this past fall.To design classes for such an enthusiastic group, so eager to work hard, focus on technique, move musically and most importantly ...... love to dance...... it has been an inspiration! The classes in the Christmas Workshop like all my classes are open ballet technique with strong roots in the tradition of Enrico Cecchetti. As always I welcome all dancers able to participate at the class level , no matter their style or training background.

The Workshop classes are Drop In like all my classes this season. You may choose to pay by the class or purchase one of the Class Cards. There is a special rate for the entire Workshop. You welcome to take one or two classes, others maybe able to fit in a few more, some may choose the entire Workshop. Please select the option that best suits you and your festive schedule . Payment is required at your first class and and fees are non refundable and non transferable. Fees are listed below.

Friday's Class!

A reminder that although Friday's class is ballet with pointe, pointe shoes are optional So please come....don't be shy it's a fun class with lots of movement.

Today it was great seeing Robyn, Elsye and Beth dancing along with those who have been here all fall.

Saturday Class Time Change!!

The Saturday class will begin at 3:00 this week. The location is still The School of Dance but we will be in the smaller studio.

There also will be some adjustments to the schedule for the next two weeks. I will post any changes in times and location as soon as I know.

Thursday Evening Classes

Here are some schedule revisions for this week. Hoping this will work for the remainder of the term.

Basic Ballet 5:45-6:45

Int/Adv Ballet Technique 6:45-8:15

These classes are at Kittiwake Dance Theatre , Water Street. The dance floor has been taken up so I recommend you wear older shoes.

Dance Collage Costume! (Senior Group)

I have been in contact with the costume company and it is possible to have the dresses here in time. However we must move quickly. The order must be placed by Monday. That means I have to measure/ size everyone and collect the costume fee. I will come this evening and Saturday afternoon with the costume book, receipt book and measuring tape! If that doesn't work we can try to organize a time on Sunday to get together ........ at my house if necessary!

Many of you have already seen the dress. If you go to dancecostume.com p.145 you can view it on line. It is titled Enchanted Evening.
I am looking forward to working on the choreography after Christmas. We will be using selections from Handel's Water Music.
