Friday, January 30 & February 6 Rehearsal & Class Schedule

3:30- 4:40 Maggie Private Grade 3
4:45- 5:45 Ballet with Pointe Class
5:45 - 7:00 Maggie & Philip
6:00-7:00 Level 3
6;30 -7:45 Advanced Dancers

The overlaps are intentional as we need to practice not only your dancing sections but entrances, exits & places with the different groups. Also advanced dancers remember to bring in your leotard/ skirt selections.

5:45-6:45 In Studio Dress Rehearsal -Everyone

Times are not available yet for Arts & Culture Rehearsals. I will let you know soon as I hear.

The Performance is Tuesday, February 17. Start time is 7:30. As soon as I know where we are in the program I will set a call time. There are posters. If you have places where you are able to put them up let me know, I will forward a copy to you.

On another note next week end there is certainly no shortage of ballet. The Atlantic Ballet will be in town with their production of King Lear and as well it is ballet Saturday at Empire Theatres. This time it is La Fille Mal Gardee performed by the Royal Ballet Company.

Dance Collage

OK this what is happening this week end. M & P are meeting to work on their little pas de deux from 6-6:30. This means Ballet/Point is starting @ 6:35.

Saturday the senior group will rehearse from 6- 7:15 after the regular ballet class.

The following two Fridays ( January 30& February 6) I have the Level 3 's in for rehearsal. There will be be overlap & I am waiting to see if I can start my private earlier so I can fit everything in without being too late. I will sort that schedule as soon as I can.

The performance is Tuesday, February 17 with a staging time that is not available yet. I plan to have our own mini dress rehearsal at the studio Saturday, Februay 14 5:45-6:45.

Wednesday Class..Cancelled Tonight!

Hi out there! My 5 o'clock School of Dance Level 5 was cancelled today. I have just struggled back from work now and although there is no precipitation right now I am cancelling class. Many roads are covering in heaps of snow/slush/ice. There are massive puddles everywhere and the wind is scarey! Hopefully we will get the class going next week. Friday & Saturday are on as usual.

I know we need to start the DTAN piece but I am up to ears in work & report writing so the group work will have to begin next week.

The Winter Term begins on Friday, January 9 & continues with all classes continuing as in the Fall Term.......

Wednesday 8:30 Technical Tune Up for Intermediate & Advanced dancers.Moving beyond the basics we will explore the
fundamentals of pirouettes, all types of allegro and how technique is built through barre and centre practice.

Friday 5:00-6:10 Private Grade 3 Cecchetti Syllabus
6:15-7:45 Int/Adv Ballet & Pointework. This class may be taken in soft shoes or you choose to wear pointe shoes at the
barre then switch for the centrework.
7:45 -8:15 Cecchetti Diploma

Saturday 4:30-6:00 Int/Adv Open Style Ballet Class/ My traditional funfilled last class on Saturday extravaganza!
6:10-6:50 Cecchetti Diploma

Class Card & Private lesson prices are the same as posted in the Fall Term If you are interested in registering for a specific class/classes on a regular basis I can also offer flat rates. If you choose this option please be advised that with any of my fee options there are no refunds and no credits for missed lessons. However, if possible, you may make up the lesson. The Winter Term will be 10 weeks.

January 3 Class Cancelled

I am feeling somewhat better but I am going to cancel the extra class I had scheduled for tomorrow January 3.

Blackmore Dance Winter Term starts on Friday , January 9. The schedule, fees & other details about the term & the DTAN performance rehearsals will be posted this Sunday evening.
