Now to Chris & Beyond ...... My partner with our mini super mini yacht !.....registered in France as Mini open class racer# 565, left Cape Breton Thursday night heading down the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia shrouded in a thick blanket of fog . Friday evening, they along with several other journeying yachts and a couple of tankers scurried for the safety of Halifax Harbour. Beyond now rests at anchor along side the famous Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. in the North West Arm , Kelly and anyone else reading this, drop down to the Club , 376 Purcell's Cove Road . Go along the pier and look right. Small boat , big mast, American flagged . You may find Chris in the Club House entertaining with stories of his escapades ! I am hoping he will have a chance to get downtown and see the sights. I always remember Halifax fondly and as a great place to walk around enjoy the public areas . It looks like Tuesday may be a possible departure .

As always thanks for your interest in my classes . I hope many will come to the final weeks of of the Spring Term,,,,
and for now ....see you in class

Now on to other things............ even though we are immersed in exam preparations right now the classes are all still open registration. It has been wonderful having those of you who have been away and/or busy with other projects and performances begin to appear in class. I hope to see more of you as we head to the last four weeks of the Spring Term!

Best Wishes to those who are involved with recitals and to Kelly who is performing in Halifax next week end .

Now to my partner Chris and our beautiful sail boat Beyond , a mini Transat 6.5 metre racer . Beyond and Chris finally got underway last evening ( Saturday). They left the Iles-de-la-Madeleine with the northerly wind which today (Sunday) gave a us on the Avalon lots of sun but brisk temperatures! This morning looking from the water , the sun rose through hazy skies. As the light grew the Highlands of Cape Breton appeared out of the mist . Sailing along the west shore of Cape Breton Island towards the Canso Straight they were met by a wandering seal and as always a curious porpoise . Chris and Beyond are now at the Canso Straight Yacht Club waiting out some nasty weather that is also coming our way.

Although I wish I could be making this journey "on deck and below" instead of on my lap top/telephone , I have so much to enjoy and complete with all of you here in St. John's .......not to mention cleaning /clearing out the house on Kimberly . So........ stay tuned for schedule changes and as always........see you in class!!

Week 5 Spring Term

Well here we are well into the Spring Term. Those of us in St. John's are trying to survive yet another lovely Newfoundland excuse for spring ,enduring the constant rain, drizzle and fog.... AKA ..... RDF !!!

My partner Chris returned to the Magdalen Islands and our sail boat Beyond. Chris has been painting and sorting waiting to go back in the water then begin the trek east and south towards Long Island Sound. I will be joining them but for now I am here cleaning and organizing my house and enjoying my classes with you!

It was great having Robyn W. in class while she was home for break and super to have Elyse at the barre. Hoping to have more of you drop by until the end of term , the first week of June.

There is now an Advanced 1 class on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in addition to the others previously posted. All other classes should go ahead at the usual times and locations this week.

Best wishes to those who are in dance recital mode.......I do remember how it goes!

So I am still in St. John's continuing with my classes so.........

See you in class!
