Divas Performance and Tommy

This week I am looking forward to seeing the "Our Divas Do Christmas" production at the Arts and Culture Centre November 29-December 3. Best wishes to the Sarahs, Heather,Colleen and Robyn and to everyone in the cast. Have a super time! These performances are supporting a great cause, the Tommy Sexton Foundation. Tommy was an actor, comedian.....and .....yes...... a dancer , as well he was a colleague and dear friend of mine. Tommy loved musical theatre and he also loved ballet. His dedication and hard work in achieving various ballet exam exams are a tribute to that. As everyone knows Tommy loved performing and so ......... on with the show!!!!!!!

Contact the Arts and Culture Centre 729 3900 or http://www.artsandculturecentre.com/ for info.

Saturday Schedule/Dance Collage/Term Extension

The second class on Saturday, 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Kittiwake is now a private Grade 2 Syllabus class. All other classes continue at their usual times and locations.

The date for the Dance Collage is Wednesday, 28 February. Rehearsals will begin after Christmas. Let me know if you would like to be in my piece. We have been looking at some very nice ballet dresses........... more later.

It is looking like I will be here the week of 18, December. I am planning on scheduling some classes. Those of you who are away at school, let me know when you are returning to St. John's. It would be great to have some pre Christmas classes with everyone together again!

Remember you can start class at any time. In addition to term fees there are class cards that allow you drop in when you can.

See you in class!

Journey Update/Schedule/Dance Collage

Well as most of you know I am in St. John's. Chris is in New York ... at last.. and our boat is wintering in Quebec. It was disappointing to be thwarted by weather, wrong wind direction and illness ,however it now seems for the best that we are all separated. ... temporarily of course ! ..... Beyond will be transported to it's home port next June, when we can all enjoy the spring in the St. Lawrence .

The schedule this week remains as previously posted. Look forward to seeing you all in class. You can always contact me directly and if you would like a flyer about my classes to share with other dancers, let me know. I will forward the flyer to you.

P.S. This is a Dance Collage Year . I remain a long standing member of DTAN (Dance Teachers Association of Newfoundland), so I plan to present a piece. I hope that many of you will want to be part of this. As usual I hope to create a piece that can accommodate many ages, levels and experiences..........more later....
